Pineapple Blueberry Smoothie
This fat-burning, super hydrating summer smoothie is dairy and processed sugar-free and is packed full of antioxidants. Chia seeds are a great source of fiber and does wonders for a stubborn digestive system. They can also help to keep you hydrated when soaked in water for a few hours providing H2O to your hair, skin, and nails. The pineapple is high in Vitamin C making it great for the immune system as well as dietary fiber making it great for digestion. Pineapple also has anti-inflammatory components and is said to aid in burning fat. I absolutely love this smoothie but have yet to try it with chia seeds. This is sure to get you through those dog days of late summer.
Serving: 1 serving
Preparation time: 3 minutes
Mixing time: 2 minutes
- 1 handful frozen pineapple chunks
- 1 handful frozen blueberries
- 1 cup unsweetened coconut or almond milk
- 1 ripe banana
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
Mix in a blender until smooth. If too thick, add more almond milk.
